Colourschemes and the colour-wheel
The yellow colour in the last blogpost reminded me that I’ve actually promised myself a brush up on colour theory during the summer holliday, as this is something I need to be a lot more concious about when working with webdesign, and especially lego mocs.
So this weekend I actually went over to the libary and borrowed two books on colour theory (and one on English grammar, you’d probably like that ;) ).
I hope to enter a whole new phase in my development as a builder, experimenting with harmonious and contrasting colours etc.
According to Betty Edwards*, you have to create a colour wheel and learn it by heart to get anywhere with colourscheme, so now I’ve changed the bacground image on my desktop to a colour-wheel - why not use the space for something that might actually make you smarter?

I just wish somebody like Mark Sandlin would make a slightly larger version, perhaps 600×600 with a nice neutral background: I really liked his Classic Space Logo, but I can’t seem to find it in his flickr-account :(
When I return to my lego in the weekend, I’ll try to make a colour-wheel out of lego for reference when building.
